ANYBETTER
If I‘d known how to give it
I’d have gave it right back
But there’s so much confusing
And such constant mismatch
That even when something
Is perfect and good
It don’t always end up
The way that it should
People swimming in circles
Going round and then round
From corners of places
To ends of the town
They do so with intentions
Of just getting around
But they are seeking for something
Some others have found
Then aloof they all wander
Apathetically so
Til they stumble to someone
Who‘s more friend than foe
Then they look at their pieces
And they push them together
To see if anything clicks
Or get strapped up in leather
Fondling fondly
They click click-clitty click
Til they both unlock something
Which then starts to tick
Then it’s either a countdown
Or a coming together
They’ll keep looking for something
Til they can’t find anybetter
