ASCENSION
All your problems
All your troubles
Are just wild imaginations
They rise up when your reason
Goes on derelict vacations
Every worry is just slander
On your private intimations
Breaking down your spirit
Towards the devil's inclinations
You tear away at self
And embrace your inner demons
Then you re-commit yourself
To some form of inner treason
Wash away your hope
In favor of believing
That you have no control
But it's all just self deceiving
It really is just fallacy
When you dig within the symptoms
Despite your proclamations
You have never been a victim
Self-pity is contrived
You just deny your good intentions
Make a mockery of your life
So you can wallow in inventions
There is no perfect path
You are your own redemption
When you get caught up in the past
There's not a good thing that I could mention
That would turn you from your course
Lost now in your own convictions
Turn your face up toward the light
And embrace your own ascension
