EYE OF THE STORM
Light as a feather
It's never been better
Just astonishing
Wonderfully overwhelming
Like poetry
Sweet Symphonies
Caressing me
Like a calm ocean
Water up to my knees
Waves lapping
Cresting and breaking
At my feet
They sweep and then retreat
Back to the swirling sea
That once cacophony
Raging thunderstorms
Have ceased
On the horizon the buoys
Bob and dip
With each swollen swell
Looking up to the sounds
Of the passing gulls
Calling down
That all is well
Flocks of tiny birds
Run on tiny feet
Chasing seafoam
Endlessly
Encouraging me
It's just the little things
We need
Simple sustenance
Comes willfully
To those who know
To feed
Clouds distant
On an infinite horizon
Speak to the vastness
Of life and time
Pillowy and full
It is the ocean that fills them
Just a varied form
Of the salty brine
Lives as many
As the speckled sand
Pulled out by the surf
To settle down
In banks that run
Up to the edge of the deep
Shallows give way
To diversity
In the darkness
Creatures spring up
Glowing brightly
Lit by phosphorescence
Knowing nothing
But the living womb
This belly of the goddess
Our very essence
We all come from source
Embodied sons and daughters
Galaxies we once were
Now here as living waters
We will all pass through
Energy's shifting form
Our God speaks from peace
In the Eye of the Storm
