POiNT THEM OUT
I wish I knew how to say it
But every time I open my mouth
The things I’m trying to share
Ain’t in the words that I put out
(Apparently)
I mean - maybe my points ARE clear?
Maybe ya’ll just cannot hear them?
But you all get ever angrier
The closer that I get near to them
Every time we single out another
We stand alone in the light of “shame”
While everyone else throws stones
Like “we’re” the one to blame
But that is just a fallacy
No-one survives the limelight
No-one “thrives” from within scorn
As they stand there as the highlight
Pointy-fingered masturbation
Is all we get when we “point down”
Pointy-selfie-adulation
As we stand with tilted crown
We have great histories repeating
Burned by fire as a “witch“
Burnt by worlds now gone asunder
In some oceanic ditch
Our cause is oft’ repeating
But we just never sort it out
We could fill-in each other’s gaps
But instead we point them out
