RENDEZVOUS

"Comity"

What an amazing word!

It's up there with "cacophony"

"Remedial" and "absurd"

Some words - simply speak to me

- Once my eyes have heard

- Such clearly defined meanings

Whether adjective or verb!

Like why would one say "shiny"

When instead they could say "gleaming"

Or say that they "fell off"

When they truly went "careening"

A person's not just lazy

If they are truly "lackadaisical"

And if something is "lighthearted"

It might in fact be

"whimsical!"

I'd much rather be "put down"

Than truly suffer some "debasement"

Instead of seeking for a dollar

I'd rather strive for "sum attainment!"

And when a person seeks for Love

Why just "Soulmates" and "evermore?"

When instead they could have

"Muse"

"Twin souls"

& "Paramour!"

Why do we give simple compliments?

They are fleeting, even flighty

When I look at you

I see Venus!

Isis!

Aphrodite!

I may not worship any God

But I surround myself with deities

Have been seeking for my "Other half"

For I have known her since the Pleiades!

I will ALWAYS call you Goddess

For I see my God in you

So delighted by our timing

Our "ineluctable" rendezvous
