NOWHERE TO HIDE

Everything is getting closer

You know that it's true

You look out over your life

And you see the new

It's coming to a head now

It's all about to change

But it doesn't feel awkward

And it doesn't feel strange

We're just on the verge

Of what we came for

And I say it's about time

Tired of the listlessness

And the nursery rhymes

You see it in the news casts

You see it on the street

The world is changing

Right beneath your feet

In all the desertion

And in all the despair

Smiling, you know it

- It's already here

That time is beginning

The one that you'd wait for

The one that was never coming

The one you were late for

But fruition is gleaming

From every corner

From peripheral vision

You see it disown her

Mother culture is dying

On her way to the grave

Freedom is coming

And it's found other ways

Of conveying it's hope for

What's left of mankind

After the mother of nature

Ends the nursery rhyme

There's two sides to this coin

One side fights to keep it

The other will relish

The chance just to leave it

We will climb our own mountains

While the rest of it burns

And as the smoke clears to embers

We will know it's our turn

I will see you there

On that new other side

And the grass will be greener

When there's nowhere to hide
