OTHER’S SEE
You know that you're so selfish
Careless and callous
You worship at the base
Of a dark green phallus
Think your God will love you
With a dollar sign
Do anything for money
And think that God is so inclined
Pretend to seek for Jesus
But his wallet's all you wanna find
Apparently you failed to see
That Jesus Christ is colorblind
Don't listen when they tell you
That he died for you and me
When you look up at the cross
All you see's a money tree
You live your life mistaken
Surely in a fallacy
You're lacking innocence
While living in your infancy
You're missing where your Bible speaks
Of love and poverty
You missed the parts 'bout how the meek
Inherit everything
You stand up on your pedestal
And point back down at me
Never seeing that your finger's
Already stained by greed
You stand up on your soapbox
And you try to reprimand
But all I see pointedly
Is a devil on a stand
You can run your mouth all that you want
Pretend to know the truth
But God made nothing easy
For the likes of lazy you
The first thing you see
Three chapters into Genesis
Is greed, Eve and apples
And the serpent, our first nemesis
You seem to have forgotten
Or at least remember this
Fueled by a need for shiny things
It's that need that got us into this
But you can't seem to need to see
The world that you are living in
You simply waste your time and mine
By giving into greater sins
You are the devil trapped inside
The body of a Christian
Claiming to be Jesus Christ
Yet sell the blood that spilled by him
You claim to be alive yet
Lead the life of storefront mannequins
You are the devil in the flesh
Living in a skin of mortal sin
I cannot see this life you lead
As anything you're giving him
Disembodied
Disemboweled
Disinclined
Yet you have soured
Any kind
Of Jesus Christ
That may have made
You feel empowered
I'm inclined
To simply find
Yours' is the religion
Of a coward
You climb through the words
Were meant to guide you
Whine through everything
You think that he denied you
Never stop and let those words come by you
You're a sad cross between a broker and guru
You look up at your Jesus
And just try to get an angle
Missed his contribution
To the spirit filled triangle
Made a pyramid scheme
From your trinity rectangle
Seek for wealth but not
Divinity
For your wicked web is tangled
The dollar is the carrot that you think he tries to dangle
Up over your head your wallets fed
But it's left your spirit mangled
Personal prejudice giving way to larceny
Licentious lasciviousness
Shrouds the you that other’s see
