THEIR SWAY
Once upon a time in magic land
- the Sun spun like a star
It was fragrant
Like glowing incense
And cradled a burgeoning Mars
It's children were celluloid daydreams
Which fumbled all lofty and real
It bore love right from its center
(Having no heart which to steal)
It's energy boundless, eternal
Was soft to the touch and quite cold
It had yet to be found as infernal
So it furnished a furnace of old
Gave hue to the clay of the potter
Gave light to the Golden of day
Made moons for its countless children
And made them take hold to their sway
So they ever circled
adventures
They ever wandered away
Till they cooled from its glowing embers
Enough that the waters could stay
Which formed into mighty oceans
Which slithered off into seas
Brought fruit up out of the soil
That hung from magnificent trees
Each world formed ever and onward
Covering themselves with lush green
Till the denseness of plenty to plunder
Sprung fourth herbivorous beings
Formed arms to climb up the branches
And necks which reached for the sky
Which would've continued forever and ever
Till just one who looked up
And asked
"Why?"
Which thrust the worlds into peril
Set course to collapse the whole thing
All because one planet -
mistakenly gave
Birth to a human being
The humans started feeding on magic
Stealing the heart of each feature
For anominity was filled with magic
But was stolen by names for each creature
