Mesmerized

I've fantasized so long

How my words might become

A song

How I might someday

Speak freely

To someone

Not beneath me

But looking eye to eye

My constant obsession

I've steered clear from

Temptation

The whole time thinking

I must be mad

Certainly my expectation

Is just fixation

Is just vexation

There is no I but I

Sensation

Articulate fascination

I'd be speechless

But this speech is

The fulfillment

Of this moment

Sweet atonement

Manifest and

Realized

I'm off the deep end

Swimming in you

Not afraid to

Admit it

Just need to meet you

And confirm this

Embodiment

Of persistence

Now Aligned

I've stood the test of time

Meandered through a labyrinth

Of exultation and despair

Sought for answers

In hidden secret places

All alone I wandered there

Watched as dissonance became me

Torn between the truth and man

Embraced an endless cacophony

Yet with fealty to stand

In all four corners

Within this frailty of man

Like Oedipus Rex

Trapped within my own mastery

Antigone beguiling

Laughing as she tried to bury me

Recognition come at last

To a past I'd put asunder

Changed its course

And just in time

With the aid of

Signs and Wonders

Inclination pushed my movement

Given up this long soliloquy

Now that our time has come
